An Ode to Those We Serve and Support
We have had the honor and privilege of spending considerable amounts of time at 3 different developmentally disabled day programs in NJ, half-dozen nursing homes/assisted living facilities/post acute care centers in NJ and PA, and 8 individuals we do private lessons with on an instrument or voice (in NJ).
Additionally, we are proud to write 4 original songs a week for children who are sick, as well as partner with a company who does programs for people in shelters/safe houses/prisons/hospitals on an every so often basis.
From developmentally disabled day programs to nursing homes/assisted living facilities to support coordination agencies to mental health organizations to early intervention and school aged programs for developmentally disabled kids to drug and alcohol counseling centers, the amount of doors we have opened the conversation with has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you so much for being receptive to the mission and believing in our ability to make a difference in the lives of those you serve and support in these places: NJ, PA, DE, MD, and NYC. Anyone in the service industry knows that as much as you try to help someone else, they end up helping you...and sometimes more than you helping them. These ways can be easily missed if you are not aware of their impact--things like compassion and unconditional love in becoming a better version of yourself. Things like patience and understanding. These qualities are hard to come by, yet if we pay attention to them, can easily move mountains and shift our perspective of the world. For these things, we are humbled and forever grateful.
